Presented by: Richard Baker

The generic Monte Carlo sample for CLEO II exceeds 10 Terabytes. To make this data available to our 200+ collaborators, we have devised a simple and efficient system of staging data from tape to a 1 TB disk pool on a rotating schedule. This arrangement minimizes tape handling and data transfer requirements while providing very good data availability. This system has been in use since early 1999 and user experience has been very favorable.
