Speaker: Theodore Todorov A flexible and modular object framework for charged track reconstruction in a HEP environment is described. The model is fully demand-driven, allowing efficient reconstruction strating from external seeds. The main components of the framework are- a layered geometry with navigation capability - a seed generator providing starting points for trajectories - a trajectory builder which finds trajectories starting from a seed - a propagator of trajectory states - an updator for adding measurement constraints to a trajectory state While some components, like the layered geometry, are specialised for a given detector, others are general. Implementations of these components for the CMS experiment at LHC are presented with some results to illustrate performance.
