SLAC Presented by: Christopher O'grady A system has been designed that monitors the performance of the BABAR DAQ system, a system which currently consists of about 160 single board computers and 32 UNIX nodes. The DAQ system itself can be segmented into pieces, each of which runs independently and in parallel ("partitions"), and the monitoring system follows this same design, allowing each partition to be monitored independently. The monitoring data accumulated is UDP-multicast out to an ethernet network for use by a variety of applications.
