  Open Scientist is an open environment to do data analysis and visualization. The first draft of the Open Scientist project had been presented at CHEP98. We present the today architecture of the system that permits to reach the desired openness ; choices of implementations for the various computing domains (storage, interactivity, visualization); some applications: data analysis environments for Virgo, LHCb, Geant4.
