Performance of MAP at Liverpool

An array of 300 processors (MAP) has been assembled Liverpool to produce
Monte Carlo simulated events for the LHCb experiment ar CERN. The system
has been fully operational since December '99. A description of the
hardware and flow control software will be given, together with
a details of its performance. Natural extensions of the MAP architecture
are discussed, together with a new prototype analysis and storage server ofr
the LHC era.
